Upgrading handhelds
Selecting an upgrade method
There are three different upgrade options that you can use to upgrade Handheld Software. If you
upgrade Handheld Software using the administration computer or upgrade Handheld Software using
the Application Loader, you must install the Handheld Software in a shared software directory on an
administration computer. See
“Configuring Handheld Software on an administration computer” on
page 34 for more information.
If you upgrade Handheld Software using the Desktop Manager, the Handheld Software must be
installed on user computers.
